Introduction to All Inclusive Alaska Fishing Trips:
Alaska is an absolute paradise for anglers, with world-class fishing set in breathtaking scenery. The most important thing to know when choosing a lodge is the type of fishing experience you want to have.
Whether you’re saltwater fishing for Halibut down in Homer, catching king salmon on the Kenai, or landing a fat rainbow trout on the Aniak River – Alaska will give you the fishing experience of a lifetime.
All inclusive Alaska fishing trips are the ultimate in fishing luxury. The lodges listed below are all-inclusive. They have comfortable accommodations in some of the most beautiful places in Alaska.
Not all amazing lodges in Alaska are listed here. If you have been to one that you really loved, let me know and I can add it to this post or on a Part 2 article!
I’ve compiled a list of 5 lodges with various price points, type of angling offered, and location so there is something for everyone. Without further ado, grab your credit card and get ready for the Top All Inclusive Alaskan Fishing Adventures:
#1 Jimmie Jack’s Alaska SeaScape Lodge:
- Overview: Jimmy Jack’s Alaska SeaScape Lodge is a luxury fishing lodge that focuses on both salt and freshwater experiences on the Kenai peninsula. You can drive here from either Anchorage Airport or Kenai airport.
- Trip Duration: 4 days – 7 days
- Price Range: $4,890 – $5,990 USD per person
- Season: May – September
- All-Inclusive (Lodging, Food, Drinks, Guides): Yes, including alcohol
- Drivable from Anchorage: Yes – 3 hours
- Saltwater or Freshwater: Both
- Fish Processing Included: Yes
- Fly-In Trips: Yes, for an extra $500 USD per person
- Options for non-anglers: Yes (river rafting, fjord trips, float trips)
Getting Here:
Jimmie Jack’s Alaska Seascape Lodge is about 3 hours drive from Anchorage airport, or about 10 minutes drive from the airport in Kenai. Alaska Airlines or Ravn Airlines are my top picks for flying internally in Alaska. Alaska Airlines is easy because you can fly directly from many contiguous U.S. cities and you don’t need to worry about baggage transfers. But on Ravn, you get delicious cookies. The drive along the Turnagain Arm is absolutely stunning so you can’t go wrong either way.
Saltwater Fishing on the Kenai Peninsula:
Nestled on the Bluff of the Cook Inlet on the Kenai Peninsula, Jimmie Jack’s Alaska SeaScape Lodge is great for saltwater anglers hoping to catch a monster halibut.
Jimmie Jack’s proudly boasts on their website of catching a record breaking 345 lb (156 kg) halibut in the Cook Inlet not too many seasons ago. This was the largest halibut caught in the past 12 years!!
As you may know, the Cook Inlet and Kachemak Bay are great for halibut fishing, in part due to the incredible tidal shifts along the Turnagain Arm.
The tidal ranges are the third largest in North America, averaging 26 feet (7.9 meters) in some places. which brings in all sorts of nutrients for the wildlife.
Jimmie Jack’s rivals the top alaska fishing charters. Even if a monster halibut isn’t in your future (but I hope it is) the rich salt waters here around the Kenai Peninsula have more than enough to keep an avid angler busy. Jimmie Jack’s does combo trips as well.
On these you might catch silver salmon, rock sole, arrowroot and starry flounder, multiple types of rockfish, or even lingcod!
Freshwater Fishing in Cook Inlet:
Despite being great for saltwater fishermen, Jimmie Jack’s Alaska SeaScape Lodge is no slouch for freshwater enthusiasts either with opportunities on the Kenai and Kasilof Rivers.
The Kenai river is some of the most premier salmon fishing waters in Alaska. where you can fish for the famous Kenai River King Salmon – averaging 40lbs a fish.
Kasilof River salmon trips are also fabulous. The Kasilof River King salmon averages about 23 lbs (18 kg) . There are fly-in options to travel to the other side of the inlet to fish creeks there.
If you’ve ever been salmon fishing in certain areas on the Kenai peninsula, you know the shoulder to shoulder fishing can best be described as “combat fishing”. Floating down the Kenai River and Kasilof River for a full day with your guide however, allows you to access areas with less pressure and have a more relaxed fishing experience in the best areas.
Once you catch your King Salmon limit (1 per day), you and your experienced guides can switch over to trout fishing for rainbows that are often in the 20-27 inch range!

These lodging packages include breakfast and a boaters lunch, but you’re on your own for dinner. With the numerous delicious restaurants in Kenai, you won’t miss out too much.
And while you won’t have quite as many amenities as the all-inclusive luxury lodge, you’ll be spending the same amount of time fishing the same waters with the same knowledgeable guides.
One of their fishing trips is a quintessential Alaskan experience – an overnight fishing trip offshore into the Gulf of Alaska!

This private and secluded lodge is situated on 10 acres right on the river, surrounded entirely by remote public lands.
It’s quite possible you won’t see anyone who is not part of the lodge for the duration of your trip – excluding the bald eagles of course. If you only have a day or two to fish, this might be the best value.
Fishing:
The fishing here is primarily Walk n’ Wade with the ability to add on some boating for an additional fee.
The website cautions that every guest assess their physical ability prior to booking as there is often quite a bit of hiking in order to get to the perfect fishing spots.
This is a positive for me as I love a good hike but I could totally see some people wanting more time fishing and less time hiking. Lodge staff will ensure you have every comfort of home and your experienced guide will show you the best way to find the premium fishing grounds.
Fly fishing and Rod n’ Reel fishing are available. At Wilderness Place Lodge, you’ll have a long day of fishing for northern pike and rainbow trout which are available year round.

I love love love Lake Clarke National Park. This might be because my fiancé proposed on a Multi-Day Float Trip in the park, but it’s also because a trip to Lake Clarke National Park is the trip of a lifetime.
Due to it’s remote location, accessible only by air, you won’t see many other people during your Alaska adventures. That’s the way I like it.
Lake Clarke nestled in the mountains and there are various valleys throughout the park with uncountable waterfalls and glaciers.
You can’t help but be enamored with the beauty and ruggedness of this part of the world. Due to the various mountain ranges in the park, the weather conditions can change from one valley to the next, but summers are the best time to visit.
Getting There:
Fly into Anchorage. You’ll take a private flight to the lodge after your arrival in Anchorage. Package dependent, you’ll fly around to Stonewood Lodge’s multiple bush locations to camp in remote Alaska and fish in its pristine waterways.
Fishing:
The Alaska fishing packages offered at Lake Clarke are designed to help you catch the wide variety of fish Alaska has to offer. Lake Trout, Char, and Arctic Grayling are all available in the area.
Salmon, salmon, salmon. Due to the various camps, you and your guides will have no trouble finding the right location to cast your line.
King Salmon
King Season starts in mid-June and goes to early July. The Stonewood Lodge fishes one of the largest King Salmon runs in the world.
Their website talks about the potential to have 10 – 20 fish days. Any of the salmon, including Kings on a limited basis, can be shipped home if interested.
The average size of a Lake Clarke King Salmon is between 20 – 30 lbs (9-18kg.
Salmon deteriorate the farther they get from the ocean as they finish their life cycle, but Stonewood Lodge is close enough to the sea to ensure all salmon are still pristine.
Northern Pike and spring Rainbow Trout are biting at this time as well.
Silver Salmon:
Silvers run in this area from late July through October. If you’ve never fished for silvers, you’ll love how hard they strike and how airborne they can get Silvers can weight anywhere from 9-20 lbs (4-9 kg).
If you’re here fishing for silvers you can also catch Rainbow Trout, Northern Pike, Grayling and Sockeye Salmon which are running at the same time.
Sockeye Salmon:
One of the world’s largest salmon runs right on the Kvichak river nearby. The fish average 5-10 lbs (2.2 – 4.5kg). The brilliantly colored reds pool in the thousands below you from late June to October. They’re good eating and fun to catch.
Northern Pike and Rainbow Trout can be fished at the same time.
Chum Salmon:
Mid-July to September. Chum salmon have been growing in popularity due to their aggressive bites and the challenge one has in catching them.
Rainbow Trout:
While rainbow fishing is available all summer, the fattest rainbows come in the early fall after feasting all summer on bugs, salmon eggs, and salmon flesh.
Perhaps the best thing about the boats Stonewood Lodge uses are the casting platforms which give you a stable base from which to hook that trophy trout.
Northern Pike
Available June through September. Northern Pikes can grow over 40 inches (101 cm) and love biting frog and mouse patterns.
Stonewood Lodge states that they have success catching Northern Pike with both fly rod and spin tackles.
Lake Fishing
Stonewood Lodge takes advantage of the endless sunlight during summers in Alaska, offering evening fishing on the lake after dinner for guest who just haven’t had quite enough yet.
You’ll also get to enjoy a delightfully toasty sauna.
Do it the Nordic way and jump between the icy lake and the warm sauna for a truly invigorating experience. Of course, there are also fire pits of which you can take advantage.
